New Year Sheep Card

Overview

The New Year is always a special moment, filled with fresh expectations and small wishes. To celebrate 2027, the Year of the Sheep, Pattes de Mouches presents a special mini card inspired by the anticipation and imagination that come with the beginning of a new year.

The New Year Sheep Card draws inspiration from a scene in Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, in which the Little Prince asks the pilot to draw him a sheep. Unsatisfied with the pilot's drawings, the Little Prince is finally delighted when the pilot draws a box and tells him that the sheep he wants is inside. The idea of imagining an unseen sheep within a simple box reflects the way we look forward to a new year, full of possibilities yet to unfold.

Inspired by this story, Pattes de Mouches imagines the approaching year of 2027 as the sheep inside the box. With the brand's signature sense of humor and warmth, the fluffy sheep becomes a playful symbol of the hopes and wishes we bring into an unknown future.

The set combines a traditional flat card with a sheep-shaped die-cut card, offering the delightful feeling of giving a small gift. The die-cut sheep also doubles as a bookmark, allowing the recipient to keep a little reminder of the New Year's wishes close at hand throughout the year. An accompanying envelope provides a thoughtful way to share messages of celebration, encouragement, and gratitude with someone special.

The beginning of a new year doesn't have to be grand. Sometimes, a few heartfelt words and a small card are enough. Just like the Little Prince imagining his sheep inside the box, we invite you to envision 2027 in your own way, filled with hopes, wishes, and possibilities.
